Our Mission Statement & LOGO
Some years ago our congregation designed a Mission Statement that would be unique to our church, that attempted to demonstrate who we are and what we stand for. We came up with the phrase "Chosen by Christ to Celebrate and Care."
You and I have been chosen by Christ Jesus. We have been chosen to be heirs of the Kingdom of God, which will have no end. Jesus has chosen to take our place under the Law so we may experience forgiveness. We read in scriptures that God chose us before the creating process began, before the foundations of the earth were laid, to be His children in Christ Jesus.
As Chosen children of God we have a responsibility. Now it is our duty to celebrate our status as children of the heavenly Father. This means worship... not because we have to, but because we have the opportunity to thank God for choosing us. Each worship service should be a celebration in which we thank and praise God for choosing to forgive our sins and make us His child though Christ Jesus.
Because God cared so much about us, as His representatives in the world, we too care. We care about others within and without our fellowship. We care enough to express that caring in word and action.
