Pastor Daniel Provost
Rev. Daniel M. Provost has been the pastor at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Newton, Iowa, since April of 2018. During the previous 14 years, he served pastorates in Lakefield, Claremont, and Austin, MN. Born and raised near Marquette, MI, in the great Upper Peninsula of Michigan, he received his B.A. in History, with a minor in Political Science, from Alma College in Alma, Michigan, in 1999. He furthered his studies at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and received his MDiv. degree, with a concentration in Historical Theology, in 2004. He enjoys golfing (or attempting to), keeping his stack of reading material somewhat manageable, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers (the only fan-owned team in the NFL).
His wife, Nicole (married in 1998), is a Quality Manager for a food company. His daughter, Julia (born in 2008), is in the fifth grade. Both are very musical, and enjoy using their God-given talents in this way.
